7:30 am Depart Athens 9:30 am Arrive Coweeta Hydrological Laboratory

10:30 am Depart Coweeta Hydrological Laboratory
11:30 am Arrive Museum of the Cherokee Indian
                                Traditional Cherokee Indian Dinner (lunch)
                                This will be served as a buffet, so as people finish eating, they can begin their museum tour.

1:30 pm Depart Museum for Oconaluftee River Trail

                                With Jerry Wolfe, Cherokee elder (or similar speaker)

1:40 pm Arrive at Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance to river trail, disembark in parking lot.

                                View sign at entrance to trail and first two signs along trail. 

If people want to hike farther and faster, then everyone will simply meet to depart at 2:30 If weather is too bad, we can meet in the Education Wing of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian.

2:30 Depart Oconaluftee River Trail head 2:45 Arrive Kituhwa Mound—talk by Ben Steere or Cherokee Tribal Archaeologist Russ Townsend if available. 3:30 Depart Kituhwa Mound for Athens

6:30 Arrive Athens
